Attention Aspiring Solo Travelers
Have you ever wondered how all those social media influencers travel the world solo... like they were just going to their backyard?
You know EXACTLY who I'm talking about...
Well, I’m kind of one of those guys (don't hate me yet!).
But it wasn’t always that way.
I know how it feels to be in your shoes... daydreaming about the day you can finally stretch your limitations and see the world for yourself... yet all you see is your days go by, while you stare at the same walls and see the same boring people... every... single... day.
My name is Juan Pablo Cangas (from Chile), and if you stay with me for a few minutes, I have a really interesting solo travel story for you – what I learned could change your life.
Last year, my girlfriend at the time had to go visit her father in her home country, Venezuela.
We were expecting to cross by land… taking a bus from Bogotá to another Colombian city called Cúcuta, and crossing the border from there. We did this so we could save on airfare.
Everything was good… until we arrived at the border gate in Venezuela.
We tried for days with no success.
At one point, they started searching my bags for no reason, and even started talking about throwing me into prison (!).
Eventually, they offered to let me through the border… if I bribed them.
My girlfriend was able to enter because of her nationality, but I was stuck at the border… and I didn’t want to do something illegal.
So I had to book a flight, with money I didn’t have, to go straight to Caracas.
Long story short, I made it to Caracas, but after a lot of frustration and scares at the border. Not to mention the time and money lost…
A while later, I learned that land bridge between Colombia and Venezuela and the surrounding areas was one of the most dangerous places on the PLANET.
All that could have been easily avoided just by looking at one little website that I can tell you about a bit later.
We finally arrived at my father in law’s home. Things were good… for a while.
We had many relationship problems over the months before leaving the country, and eventually…
That, plus Venezuela not having the best conditions for working remotely (I was still doing digital marketing consulting), made me decide something radical.
I could have gone home, but my return flight was leaving from Bogotá in a month and a half. So I decided to wait for my return flight in Colombia.
I took the time to research the best cities, the best neighborhoods, what do and what not to do. I became absolutely OBSESSED with solo travel safety, after all the scares I had in Venezuela.
It took a lot of time and effort, but it paid off.
I had an absolute blast in Colombia, spending a month in Medellín while working as a digital nomad.
I even spent 10 days of vacation in Cartagena, before returning to my country.
I attended a few really wild electronic parties, got to visit some amazing landscapes, made new friends and danced salsa with a fine Colombian lady on the terrace of my AirBnb (I will leave to your imagination the details of this and other interesting international dating adventures I had…)
As you can see, even though I had been playing around with the idea of solo traveling, it didn’t actually happen for me, until I had to do it, for other reasons (because of my girlfriends’ father, and the fact that we broke up in the middle of our trip).
Also, I’ve never been a social person (though that has changed slightly over the years), and have struggled with anxiety for a long time (that also has improved). So, while solo travel has a definite appeal to a person like me, it also presents its own set of challenges.
What I want to tell you with this, is that no matter how you find your way into solo travel… I think it’s one of the best things you can do in your life.
And if this is something you really want to do, I believe you shouldn’t let anything or anyone stand in your way.
Once you do it once, you will want to do it again, and again, and again.
Right now, as I type these words, it’s quite difficult to travel because of COVID-19, but I’m dying to get out and do some more solo traveling.
Depending on where you live, travel may or may not be a possibility.
However, I truly believe this is the best time to PREPARE your mindset for the adventures of a lifetime!
And when I look back and reflect on what my hard-learned lessons allowed me to achieve, I can’t help but smile to myself :) All thanks to hacking my mindset with the methods I applied to myself after this painful experience.
It was that life-changing (and threathening) experience that made me realize something…
Not all aspirational solo travelers get the opportunity to make their dreams a reality.
And that breaks my heart.
So I started breaking down the “system” I used to have an absolutely great solo travel experience in Colombia, right after fearing for my freedom and life in Venezuela.
And today, I’m excited to announce that the first part of my solo travel safety system is ready for release.
I have created an easy-to-read, straight-to-the-point special report about the mindset you need to experience safe solo travel.
I call it,
"Solo Travel Safety Mindset:
How to Hack Your Mind so That Solo Travel No Longer Scares You to Death!"
Finally, I have put together all the learnings I’ve collected by traveling 10 countries and being a self-development junkie for all of my adult life, which allowed me to hack my mindset as a solo traveler.
I know that without all the research, books and programs, and even therapy I have gone through, that I would have never been able to accomplish what I did, so I decided I should share this knowledge with people like you.
You will:
Learn how to rationally deal with strong paralyzing emotions (especially fear and anxiety), so you can take the plunge and embark into your first solo trip with full confidence.
Discover every mindset shift, every single hack I know that will allow you to crush your solo trip (even if it’s your first time)
Finally be able to embark in the adventure of a lifetime, so that you are able to reach new heights of personal growth, self-discovery, gratitude, and happiness – no need to spend years trying all sorts of things – just one solo trip can change how you see life forever!
And a whole ton more!
By now you might be wondering, who am I to teach about solo travel safety?
The fact that I was involved in a potentially life-threatening trip to Venezuela taught me a lot about what you should NOT do… and the rest of my experiences with traveling to 10 countries (both with other people and solo) have been pretty insightful.
That’s not taking into account all the countless hours I invested, painstakingly making sure my solo trip to Colombia would be a complete success (which it was), reading blog post after blog post, expert recommendation after expert recommendation.
Also, I completed voluntary military service… the skills and mindsets I learned there sure help when facing a challenge like solo travel.
However, not all of the threats you might face as a solo traveler are physical in nature. You also have “virtual” threats that can become especially relevant while outside of your country.
As a digital marketing expert, I have to deal with issues about data confidentiality and security – in fact, one of the members of my business mastermind group is a cybersecurity expert. So my background there helps as well.
I’m always investing in my personal development (in fact, I just invested $345 in a Tony Robbins seminar), and since this report will be getting periodical updates with my latest discoveries, you will always have access to my best breakthroughs.
Another thing that makes my report a great choice for you, is the fact that I have a coaching background (in my marketing consulting business I coach people with their business problems).
I have helped clients blast through limitations in things like sales, marketing, and productivity, and now am bringing all that coaching experience to help people like you take a leap of faith and finally make their solo travel dreams a reality.
